Govt feats for education promotion enumerated

The Punjab government is spending billions of rupees on the promotion and development of education across the province. The PML-N government is committed to providing quality education to each and every child at their doorstep.
PML-N MNA Bilal Ahmad Virk remarked at a prize distribution ceremony held here at Government College for Women Warburton the other day. Mr Virk criticized the opposition parties over opposing “what he dubbed” general people projects of orange train and metro bus service in Lahore.
He asked the opposition leaders to at least acknowledge, if not appreciate, the unprecedented projects executed or being executed for the promotion education.
He also inaugurated a new building at the women college built at a cost of Rs50 million. On the occasion, Nankana Sahib DCO Dr Usman Ali emphasized on the importance of security measures in educational institutions in existing scenario. 
He pointed out that there are some mandatory security steps to be taken for the safety of students and education institutions. 
MPA Maher Kashif Rang Elahi Padhiar disclosed that the PML-N has planned establishment of women colleges in Mananwala and Mandi Faizabad of this constituency. 
He also claimed that vocational training institute is being constructed in Feroze Wattuwan at a cost of Rs22 million. He also announced up-gradation of Govt high school Warburton City to higher secondary level. 
Deputy Director (Colleges) Malik Mukhtar Ahmad and College Principal Balqees Akhtar also addressed the ceremony. Later, the guests of honour distributed prizes and souvenirs to position-holding students. 
On occasion, Malik Noor Muhammad Awan, Malik Muhammad Amin, Sheikh Jameel Ahmad Narag, Malik Amer Ishaq and Tariq Mehmood Arain announced financial assistance for the construction of different section in the college.
